7. Legal Bases For Processing
If the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process personal data based on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract: to provide the app features you request.
- Consent: when you choose optional features such as photos, notifications, family invites, or Google sign-in.
- Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, debug, and improve the app.
- Legal obligations: when processing is required by applicable law.
8. Local Storage And Remote Sync
Nuzzle Baby is designed as an offline-first app. Some data is stored locally on your device using a local database. If you are signed in and sync is available, data may also be stored remotely using Supabase.
Local data may remain on your device until you delete it, uninstall the app, clear app data, delete the baby profile, or use available deletion features. Remote data may remain until you delete it, request deletion, or it is deleted according to this Privacy Policy.
If the network is unavailable, the app may continue to work locally and attempt to sync later. Sync may fail, be delayed, or produce temporary differences between devices.
9. Baby Photos, Camera, And Photo Library
Baby photos are optional. You can use the app without adding a baby photo.
If you choose to add a baby photo, the app may request access to your camera or photo library. The selected photo is stored locally first. If sync is available, it may be uploaded to remote storage so it can be shown on your other devices or to authorized family members.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload and share any photo you add to the app.
10. Family Sharing
Nuzzle Baby allows family members and caregivers to share access to baby care data. If you create or accept an invite, authorized family members may be able to view shared baby profile information, baby care events, event authors, and related family data.
You are responsible for inviting only trusted people and for choosing appropriate roles. We are not responsible for how invited family members use information that they are authorized to access through your family group.
11. Notifications And Reminders
The app may request permission to send local notifications. Local reminders may include feeding, diaper, and medicine reminders.
Reminders are based on app data, device permissions, device settings, operating system behavior, battery settings, network state, time settings, and other factors outside our control. Reminders may be delayed, inaccurate, duplicated, or fail to appear.
You must not rely on Nuzzle Baby reminders for urgent, critical, medical, safety-related, or time-sensitive situations. For medicine, health, or emergency matters, consult a qualified professional or contact emergency services.
12. No Medical Advice
Nuzzle Baby is provided for informational, organizational, and personal record-keeping purposes only.
The app does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, dosage recommendations, emergency alerts, professional healthcare guidance, or safety guarantees. The app does not replace doctors, pediatricians, nurses, midwives, pharmacists, emergency services, or other qualified professionals.
You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of information entered into the app and for decisions made based on that information.
13. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party providers to operate the app and related services:
- Supabase: authentication, database, file storage, and synchronization.
- Google: optional Google sign-in.
- Apple App Store and Google Play: app distribution and platform-level services.
- Cloudflare: website hosting, DNS, Privacy Policy, Terms, and support pages.
These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and security practices. We select providers that are expected to provide appropriate protection, but we do not control every aspect of their systems.
We do not sell baby care data to advertisers.
14. Sharing Information
We may share information:
- with family members or caregivers you invite or whose invites you accept;
- with service providers needed to operate, secure, host, sync, and support the app;

- to protect rights, privacy, safety, security, users, or the app;
- in connection with a business transfer, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
15. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the app, maintain your account, support synchronization, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, maintain security, and enforce agreements.
Deleted data may remain for a limited time in backups, logs, audit records, or technical recovery systems where necessary and lawful.
16. Deletion And Account Requests
You can delete individual events and baby profiles using app features where available.
Deleting the app from your device or clearing local app data may remove local data from that device, but it may not automatically delete remote data that has already synced.
To request deletion of account data or remote synced data, contact us at privacy@nuzzlecare.app. We may need to verify your identity before processing the request.
17. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- access your personal data;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data;
- restrict or object to processing;
- receive a copy of your data;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
To exercise these rights, contact privacy@nuzzlecare.app.
18. International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. These countries may have different data protection laws. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
19. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including authentication, access controls, local storage, database security rules, and provider security features.
However, no app, device, network, database, storage system, or transmission method is completely secure, error-free, or always available. We cannot guarantee that information will always remain secure, accurate, complete, available, or free from unauthorized access.
You are responsible for keeping your device and account credentials secure and for inviting only trusted family members.
20. Children
Nuzzle Baby stores baby-related information entered by parents, legal guardians, or caregivers. The app is intended for use by adults or users old enough to create an account under applicable law. It is not intended to be used directly by children.
By entering baby information, you confirm that you are authorized to provide and manage that information.
21. Changes To This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at https://nuzzlecare.app/privacy/.
If we make material changes, we may notify users through the app, website, app store release notes, or other reasonable means. Your continued use of the app after changes means that the updated Privacy Policy applies.
